Software Engineer II @ PNNL. Front-end, cloud, geospatial, and 3D systems.

Software engineer with 4+ years of experience building scalable front-end applications and serverless cloud architectures with React, TypeScript, and AWS.

At Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, I stepped into lead ownership for multiple projects mid-cycle, coordinating up to seven developers across cross-functional efforts with scientists, designers, and stakeholders.

Built React interfaces and reusable Material UI systems for analysis-heavy workflows, including platforms that process over 10 years of weather history and more than 50GB of wildfire geospatial data.

Designed and implemented full-stack AWS solutions with Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and PostGIS workflows, with performance-focused improvements like optimized data loading patterns and rendering pipelines for million-point 3D visualization.

Strong focus on execution quality through practical code review habits, automated testing, and delivery patterns that help teams ship reliable software faster.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, anime, and story-driven worlds like Star Wars, especially Andor and The Clone Wars.

Coding is both fun and business for me, and that same builder mindset carries into wrenching on cars. I am drawn to machines and systems, and to understanding how each moving part connects to the whole.

Own the mission and execution.

I step into critical paths, take responsibility for delivery, and move projects from uncertainty to production with clear accountability.

Engineer for scale and performance.

I design systems that stay fast under real load, from cloud data paths to front-end rendering, including million-point 3D scenes and large geospatial datasets.

Turn complexity into usable tools.

I build interfaces and workflows that make complex scientific data actionable for researchers, analysts, and mission stakeholders.

Raise team velocity through quality.

I prioritize strong reviews, reusable patterns, and maintainable architecture so teams can ship faster with fewer regressions.
